If you or a loved one are receiving aged care at home, having the right physiotherapist can make a significant difference to independence, safety and quality of life. Vanessa is a highly experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about supporting older adults to stay active, confident and comfortable in their own homes.
Vanessa graduated from Curtin University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Since then, she has built extensive experience working in both Australia and London across public and private hospital systems, as well as rehabilitation settings.
Early in her career, Vanessa worked at The Mount Hospital in orthopaedic and rehabilitative care, helping patients recover strength, mobility and confidence following surgery or injury. During her time in London, she worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital on the Rehabilitation Ward, where she specialised in home assessments and rehabilitation to help patients safely transition back to daily life at home.
Vanessa has a particular passion for aged care, with a special interest in falls prevention and balance training. Her broad clinical background also includes orthopaedics, women’s health, cardio-thoracic surgery and intensive care.
Outside of work, Vanessa is a busy mum of five. When she finds a moment to herself, she enjoys practising Pilates.
